Privacy & Research Notice

The FBA Federal Recognition Project is an independent research and advocacy project and is not the U.S. Census Bureau, the Office of Management and Budget, or another government agency.

Lineage Intake

The pilot lineage form collects limited voluntary information about self-identification, genealogy status, ancestral geography, record types, willingness to participate, and optional contact information. This phase does not accept document uploads.

Do not provide Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial records, raw DNA files, passwords, or other highly sensitive information.

Research Use

Where a participant consents, responses may be used in anonymized or aggregated form to evaluate the measurability and research characteristics of FBA lineage. Personally identifying contact information should not be published as part of aggregate research.
